Our second step in our concrete paver clean and seal restoration process is to replace the joint sand between each paver. This is another critical step that many of our competitors skip taking for granted that the customer will not notice. RestoraCrete uses the highest quality paver joint sand specifically manufactured for this application. It provides our customers with the best finish look and its the correct way to provide a complete professional restoration.
There is another way to get good joint sand restoration which is using a polymeric sand product, however we do not endorse this process. Polymeric sand is a unique mixture of polymer binders and calibrated sand, available in tan and grey. This method is primarily used in new installation due to the fact that companies want to reduce the amount of days to complete a job and to seal pavers without using a polymeric sand you must come back another day.
Once the polymeric sand sets, it becomes very firm and locks between the paver joints. RestoraCrete never uses polymeric sand in our paving clean and seal process because it tends to leave a haze on the pavers that is extremely difficult to remove. Instead RestoraCrete paver clean and seal system uses a restoration treatment that is much more economical and ideal to achieve the final result our customers love. Our sealers have similar polymer binders in its formulation that bind with the new joint sand and fosters a level of firmness to mitigate erasing and lock in your brick paver system.
